Bus
Buses are the most widely used form of public transport across Cyprus. Services in both the Republic of Cyprus and the north of the island are run by private companies on a regional basis. Timetables and fares change — please confirm with the operator before travelling.
Official sources for all routes, timetables and fares:
- Cyprus Bus (Motion) app — the Ministry of Transport’s official app with real-time bus tracking
- publictransport.com.cy — journey planner for Nicosia and Larnaca
- cyprusbybus.com — island-wide route planning
Fares (2026): Urban single ticket €2.40 cash from the driver, or €1.80 with the Motion Bus Card. Night and airport services carry separate fares. A new ticketing policy takes effect on 3 August 2026.

Bus Tickets and Fares for Republic of Cyprus
There is still no official website bringing together all bus companies in the north, and many companies have no website of their own. Intercity services are provided by Çimen, Akva (Yorulmaz), Kombos, Girneliler Seyahat, İtimat and Asbestos.
A note on fares: fares in the north are revised several times a year due to inflation, so we no longer publish fixed prices here — please confirm the current fare with the operator or at the terminal.
