Buses are the most frequently used form of public transportation in Cyprus. Both in the northern part of Cyprus and Republic of Cyprus, buses are operated by private companies and each district is run by a different company. These companies are not under a joint structure. Therefore, the contact details for each firm has been provided below.
In terms of accessibility, service quality, standardization of routes and information access, the bus management is much more developed in the Republic of Cyprus. In the northern part of the island, a website which includes all information on the bus firms does not exist and none of the bus companies provide disabled access.
While standard buses are used for transportation in the Republic of Cyprus, minibuses similar to joint taxis are generally used in the northern part of the island.
We have provided all important information below; however in order to access up-to-date information we suggest you visit the official websites of the bus companies.
